  robin chilton - director / cinematographer

  My path to becoming a filmmaker was ironic to say the least. I was born to a family that had been in the film industry long before I was conceived, holding stage both in front of, and behind the lens. I long remember the musty smell of Burbank Studios, and the taste of stale Cheese-Its in the green room where I would wait for my ars old that I got the chance to make my first video, and I have been all but obsessed with the art of filmmaking since that day.
  
  Over the course of my fifteen year career, I have found my way in this business a day at a time. The early years of Peregrine Media Group were dedicated to environmental documentary in support of organizations like the Surfrider Foundation, Sierra Club, Matilija Coalition, and others. These included the Internationally distributed "From Sea to Summit" film for the National Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, and he Telly Award winning ‘Rejoice in Yosemite.
  
  In 2003, I turned my attention toward Commercial and Medical Marketing, producing major ad campaigns and internal media for CHW and Tenet Hospitals over the last seven years. During that time, we were awarded a bronze medal by Healthcare Marketing Report for our "Inspired Healthcare" Campaign produced for Marian Medical Center, and an Addy Award for Sierra Vista's "Head Shoulders Knees and Toes" Campaign in 2009 (produced with Barnett Cox and Associates). Our most recent medical projects have been a 4 spot Campaign for Twin Cities Community Hospital, and currently, the “Nurse Victoria” patient welcome film for Lakewood Regional Medical Center in Los Angeles.
  
  In the year 2009, my career took a turn once again. The economic crash hit our commercial clients hard, and I was forced to take Peregrine Media Group in new directions. In early 2010, I began working with screenwriters, and other artists to grow the Independent Film Collaborative called Two Trips Motion Pictures. We currently have two dark comedies, and a third feature length drama in progress. I have also become heavily involved in independent fashion films, starting with our most recent release, Haute Couture: A Fashion Documentary. This film was nominated for a Tasty Award in the Fall of 2010, and screened recently at the Paso Digital and SLO International Film Festivals. We are currently growing the Fashion Film Collaborative and blog called "A Fashion Documentary," with three films currently in progress. Our work can be found on multiple social networks including Vimeo, You Tube, and Facebook, and our online audience is growing rapidly.
