Jimmy De organized and managed, with the assistant of stylist and make-up artist, Jessica Winstead, the Bikini Show for the Barrel to Barrel event at Wine, Waves & Beyond. He coordinated the model call, coached the models, took photos, and choreographed the runway presentation.

Jimmy is a photographer whose personal vision is both dramatic and unusual. Jimmy has won numerous New Times Photographic competitions. In addition to his professional wedding photography, Jimmy’s work includes, Mermaids— a collection of sensual photographs of beautiful Mermaids who live in legends, myths and dreams— angels fairies, pin-ups, dancers. One of his specialties is the challenge of photographing dancers in motion.

His love of photography has given him his dream job, working with people and creating lasting memories of their special moments. To quote Jim, “I love my job because everyday when I go to work, someone is smiling at me.”

Jessica has been instrumental, along with photographer Jimmy Di, in helping to present the Wine, Waves & Beyond Bikini Show. Jessica is overseeing the hair and make-up and overall look of the models for this Barrel to Barrel event at the Cliffs.

Jessica works at Bluebird Salon in downtown San Luis Obispo. Jessica explains, “I draw most of my inspiration from music, fashion and everyday life from both today and decades past. I really embrace the bang of the fifties, the beauty and glamour of the sixties and the swag of the seventies. I draw a lot of inspiration from family, my kids and from every woman walking down the street. I love creating beautiful and elegant looks but I jump at the chance to push the limits with creative color and edgy lines.”
